From 4 to 30 delegates, embrace the great outdoors on a fully guided walk around the historic Ballykilcavan demesne, accompanied by David Walsh-Kemmis who is a 13th generation member of the Walsh family clan to live and farm here. Step back in time with stories of the family and labourers who worked in the 18th century stone farmyard and stable yard. Visit the champion black walnut tree of Ireland and walk through the gardener’s tunnel to visit the remnants of the 10-acre walled garden where William Robinson, the famous 19th century gardener (and infamous killer of the Ballykilcavan orchid collection), started his career.
From 4 to 24 delegates, join brewery owner David Walsh-Kemmis for a food tour of Ireland, all from the comfort of the 200-year-old mill building at Ballykilcavan. After an engaging tour of the 19th century farmyard and new craft brewery, you will be treated to a relaxed, fully-guided tasting, where David will present four of his beers, each one specially selected to pair with a different Irish cheese and item of charcuterie. Hear the stories of each of the artisan producers and learn how to use beer as a match for any food at home.
