If you like places with history, you should go to the Confession box pub located in the North of the O’Connell bridge in Marlborough Street. We can easily associate this name because of its proximity to the St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral. But during the independence war, this pub was the mark of Michael Collins (an Irish revolutionary, soldier and politician of the 20th century). You can easily imagine all the strategies built between these walls. Otherwise, if you cross the street, you could eat one of the best fish and chips in the district at the Fusciardi Café.

    Cassidy’s

    27 Westmoreland St, Dublin, D02 PX77

This pub, set up in 1856, was at the beginning the home of the Freeman’s Journal. Today Cassidy’s pub can be defined as a bohemian, hipsters and nerds’ place. By the way, each visitor is very encouraged to add one more on the wall, a table or a lamp…  It’s the best place to play at some board games or to start a session of ‘Dungeons and Dragons’, a famous immersive roleplay game. If you are not totally convinced by this place, just come set foot there at Westmoreland Street, in Dublin 2.
