The Galway Christmas Market returns to Eyre Square from November 7 to December 31, 2025. With free entry and over 50 wooden chalets, it’s one of the most festive events in Galway City, attracting locals and tourists alike. In 2024, the Galway Christmas Market attracted a staggering 450,000 visitors, underscoring the festival's growing popularity.
Visitors can enjoy an array of festive entertainment, including:
- A 32-metre high Ferris Wheel and traditional carousel
- Santa’s Express Train and a Santa’s Grotto (ticketed)
- Live music, puppet shows, storytelling, and school choirs
- Light gardens perfect for family photos
Foodies will love the range of winter treats such as bratwurst, crêpes, waffles, pastries, pretzels, and confectionery. For unique gifts, the market features artisan food products and crafts from both Irish and European traders, perfect spot if you’re looking for last minute presents.
The market also features the popular Bier Keller, serving a wide range of drinks daily from 5pm until 10pm. If you want priority seating and queue-skipping perks, consider booking VIP tickets for the Galway Christmas Market Beer Tent, which are available on RoisinDubh.net.
